Dear Congressman (Congresswoman) I am an involved citizen and current resident of (state you reside in). I am contacting you to voice my concerns over the privatization of our government workforce. It has been brought to my attention that various entities are lobbying to privatize the services and security that our well trained and dedicated civil servants currently provide. The priority of the civil servant is my safety and security. The priority of the private sector, more often than not, is profit. What concerns me even more is the knowledge that these private entities often try to entice our elected officials with promises of financial support toward current or future election campaigns. I urge you to protect the integrity of our government services and not to compromise the safety and security of the citizens of these United States.
Our civil servants continually rise to and overcome the complex challenges that we as a nation face today. They should be rewarded for their resolve and dedication, not replaced. While we go about our daily lives, it is comforting to know that in the background, often unseen and unheard, there are men and women who's first priority is my best interest, versus quarterly earnings.
